The Dhammapada

The Dhammapada is one of the most widely read Buddhist scriptures, consisting of 423 verses that speak to the ethical and spiritual path. Its name combines "dhamma" (teachings, ultimate truth) and "pada" (path, way), translating roughly to "the path of truth."

These verses are attributed to the Buddha and were compiled after his death as a core collection of his essential teachings. For over 2,500 years, they have guided countless individuals in their search for meaning, peace, and wisdom.

Just as a solid rock is not shaken by the wind, so the wise are not shaken by praise or blame.
